Footy Speak appears just in time for the biggest weekend of the 2008/2009 premiership season. Manchester United takes on Arsenal at home this weekend, only needing one point to secure their third consecutive title. United have been victorious in their last seven league games, scoring at least twice in each game. They now sit six points clear of second place Liverpool, with two games to go – it would be delusional to think United would let this title anywhere near the stretching scouse finger tips.

The Gunners’ have their pride at stake here. They’ve had a terrible past two weeks, being schooled by Manchester and then Chelsea, conceding a total of 8 goals in their last two premiership games against a big-four side. So, can they destroy the dreams of the millions of Machester United fans world wide? Liverpool fans certainly hope so!

Both sides’ expected line-ups look strong. Lets hope Russian maestro Andrey Arshavin can do the quadruple over United this time – all he needs is four opportunities!

Arshavin could make all the difference. After his stunning display against Liverpool, he was ineligibile for the two Champions League games against United. Liverpool don’t play West Bromich Albion until Sunday – Sir Alex could have his title retained before Liverpool even touch a football. It really is in Manchester’s glorified hands.

Other games this weekend; see relegation threatend Hull City take on Bolton – this is a must win game for Hull, as their last game of the season is against the Red Devils. Middlesborough, also very likely to be relegated after a 3-1 loss against Newcastle United, meet Aston Villa – whom need a good result to end the season on a high. Everton host West Ham at Goodison park, while Spurs attempt to thwart Manchester City.
