It may have come at the wrong time for many Newcastle United fans, but Mike Ashely has received “more than” 2 bids for the troubled club. Apparently all of the offers are over £100 million!
“There have been more than two bids at £100 million,” he said.
“At the moment, we are in the hands of lawyers and it is all ongoing.
“We are giving interested parties all the help that they need.”

There we have it, more excitement in the transfer markets this summer! This is a lot more shocking than any of the other transfers thus far.
Owen, has not been performing anywhere near his best, he’s spent a lot of time on the bench and has not recovered the match sharpness that we all once loved. This, to me, seems like Manchester United’s backup plan, seeing as they lost Benzema to Real Madrid!
Former European Footballer of the Year Michael Owen may be on the verge of joining Manchester United from relegated Newcastle United, according to several media reports.
The England international could move to the Premier League champions if he passes a stringent medical examination, said the reports.
A Manchester United spokesman refused to comment on the speculation.
Owen shot to fame with Liverpool and England before joining Real Madrid in 2004. He had a single, frustrating season at the Bernabeu, where he played well but never managed to cement a first team place, before moving to Newcastle in 2005.
Owen has since struggled for form and fitness and fallen out of favour with England manager Fabio Capello.
Last month he said he would be leaving Championship side Newcastle within weeks.
He won the European Footballer of the Year award in 2001.

Alan Shearer suggested that he is “convinced” that Newcastle United will survive relegation with a result against Aston Villa to secure a place clear of the bottom three.
The Magpies need to come up with at least a draw and hope that other results go in their favor when Hull tackle Manchester United and Sunderland face Chelsea. Mathematically Newcastle, Hull, Sunderland and Middlesbrough, all have a chance to avoid relegation.
When asked by NUFC TV the Magpies manager was full of confidence and showed no hesitation that his side can avoid relegation and stay at the top flight for another season.
Speaking to NUFC TV, Shearer said “I’m convinced,”

“I’ve had a good response from the players this week and we have one last chance to save ourselves.”
“We have to forget about last Saturday (against Fulham) and the previous 37 games.”
“It’s all about Sunday and that’s all that matters.”
“I believe my players will handle the pressure because it promises to be a nervy affair.
“But will go into it fighting and we’ll be giving it everything we’ve got.”
