Respect The Fans Campaign

The Respect The Fans Campaign, a campaign calling for a fresh and fairer look into allocations for fans at Wembley, has been launched.

Whether in the Play Offs, Carling Cup, Community Shield or FA Cup, upto 16 clubs a season play in our national stadium.  However due to poor allocations, many of the fans of these clubs miss out on the chance to see their team in our national stadium in probably the biggest game of their season.

Whilst Club Wembley is a necessary evil to fund the building of Wembley, what is inexplainable is upto 23000 tickets being given out to people who have little interest in the teams playing.

If you want to back the Respect The Fans Campaign, please sign the online petition part of the campaign http://www.petitiononline.com/facup71/petition.html or visit the website for more information and contact details if you’ve got any ideas of stories for the campaign http://www.respectcampaign.com/

It’s about time something was done about this. For the last few years the Championship playoff final has had a better atmosphere than the FA cup because genuine supporters have missed out in place of corporate packages. There will always be too much demand and there will always be touts selling tickets for crazy prices, but there must be if nothing else, a better structure than what we have now
