Redknapp: Spurs short of cash
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has to sell players before he can sign any this summer.
On the back of Spurs’ 3-1 loss at Liverpool, Redknapp revealed he will need to ‘wheel and deal’ as he tries to make Spurs a force to be reckoned with.
“We have spent all our money already in keeping the club in the Premier League,” said Redknapp.
“We saw against Liverpool that we are a little short because we had some key players missing.
“We would like to add some players in the summer and I have some targets, but I will have to raise the money to go after them.
“We will have to wheel and deal because we used what money there was to bring in Keane and Palacios to keep us in this league.”
I’d love to see the Spurs become a force to be reckoned with – but at what cost? We don’t want to sell the good players we have to try and get some “maybe” good players.
